Midland Radio - MXT115P

Midland Radio asked for a 30-second feature video to show off the main features of the MXT115P PRO. The goal was to highlight its performance, durability, and key features like power, waterproofing, and in-vehicle use.

The Challenge: Take the client's CAD file, add realistic textures, and create dynamic animation scenes that showcase the radio's key selling points while keeping a clean, professional look.

Execution & Workflow

• CAD Prep: Converted and cleaned up the raw CAD file into clean 3D models ready for animation.

• Texturing & Lighting (Blender): Applied custom materials and set up realistic studio lighting in Blender to bring out the details of the plastic, metal, and lit screen.

• Visual Effects: Created dynamic environment scenes—like water splashes for the IP67 waterproof test, dust particles, and vehicle interior shots—to show the radio working in real-world conditions.

• Editing & Color Grading (DaVinci Resolve): Handled the final video editing, motion graphics, sound sync, and color grading in DaVinci Resolve to give it a sharp, cinematic finish.
